Fall Sports - Southern Style
We are embracing Fall in the South, which means football and cheerleading. Bennett is playing his first season of tackle football and Elle is cheering for the same league. Unfortunately, Elle's squad is not cheering for Bennett's team, so that means that for the next two months we will be going to two games every Saturday. Their first pre-season games were last Saturday, and it was a fun day. Reagan and Campbell and Calvin were very good sports during the four hours we were at the parks. Looking forward to a fun season for both of them.
Bennett's team takes things very seriously -- they even have wristbands with the plays on them.
Bennett is #58. He doesn't like crouching down, so he always waits until the last minute to get into position.
He loves pushing people.
More pushing.
Making sure he knows the play.
So cute. But he is trying to look mean.
The other team was really good. We lost 18 to 0. But Bennett was just fine after the game because he felt good about how he played.
The sweet girls and Cal taking a break in the shade.
So happy to take his helmet off after the game. We were dying of heat on the bleachers. I can't imagine how hot it must be in the pads and helmet.
Listening to his coach after the game.
I love when he looks for us in the crowd -- he wants to always know where we are.
Such a good boy -- we love Bennett so much.
When we signed Elle up, I had no idea she would be getting a full uniform, down to the same cheer shoes I wore as a cheerleader. Pretty dang cute.
Waiting for their team to take the field.
Love the poms.
Such a cute girl. Love our sweet Elle.
Unfortunately, Elle's team lost their game 20 to 0. Could be a very long season for both teams!
Elle really is sweet and sassy.
