The loot, before the kids came down the stairs:

Time to hit the presents under the tree:

Aunt Lisa really came through for us, as usual! From the darling matching jammies she gave the kids to open Christmas Eve and wear Christmas morning, to the homemade tutus for the girls, fleece BYU blanket for Sam, earrings for me, and Bennett's shiny blue cape with a huge B on the back, we totally hit the jackpot. I know you all wish she was your sister-in-law, but she isn't. She's mine. And believe me, I benefit from it greatly!

It snowed all day, and we tried to venture out around 3:00 pm, only to decide that it wasn't worth risking our lives, and heading back home. So Elle did her favorite thing for her afternoon birthday activity -- she played in the snow.

It was a little quiet being on our own, and being home-bound, but it was so nice to have a relaxing day together where we couldn't do anything but just enjoy each other. All in all, it was a wonderful day!
